Designed around the concept adidas micoach of speed and the feeling of weightlessness on a players foot, the F50 adiZero Prime uses a selection of newly developed materials and manufacturing techniques to keep the weight of the nike mercurial vapor superfly 3 footwear to a bare minimum.
Development & Technology
The original adidas F50 adiZero was launched in in April 2010, and by June 2010 adidas already had prototypes of it's successor on the feet of some of it's international endorsees.
The Black/White/Electricity adiZero Prime
The first of which to be outed was Borussia Dortmund's Bulgarian Striker Dimitar Rangelov who wore Black/White/Electricity colourway in an international friendly against South Afrrica.
From then, many of adidas' top players were seen testing the new adiZero Prime and giving their feedback on it's development, including Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale.
The weight-reducing technology used in the adiZero Prime includes:
adiTwin Light Upper - Newly developed single layer synthetic material allows lightest ever construction allegedly without compromising durability/
Thermo-Polyurethane Bottom Frame - The Elasticity of the TPU bottom frame allows secure lateral movement within the boot, whilst the relative lightweight nature of the material is more weight efficient than a re-enforced soleplate
Kevlar Laces - mercurial vapor viii Lightweight and highly durable, the Kevlar laces of the adiZero Prime ensure every last gram has been shaved off it's design
Release & Launch
The adiZero was revealed on New Year's Day 2011 via several leading football equipment websites, with Pre-Orders commencing the following Monday/
In the run-up to the adiZero Prime's on-pitch debut, adidas ran a viral campaign across Europe called 'Find Them Fast' in which fans of adidas on Facebook and Twitter Adidas Adipower Predator TRX were invited to recover the football boots belonging to the athletes (which had allegedly been stolen the week before) that would be wearing them in f50 adizero micoach nike t90 iv time for them to make their on-pitch

For example fans in the UK were tasked with finding England striker Jermaine Defoe's adiZero Primes, whilst in Barcelona contestants had to recover Lionel Messi's cleats ahead of FC Barcelona's match against Malaga on January 16th.
The adiZero Prime will have it's official retail launch on February 1st 2011 and will initially be available in two colourways; Warning/White/Black and Black/White/Electrcity.
